Oh geez again...
I'll try to do some backup.

I guess the best is to use different hosts as possible because they all gonna shut down one day.

Yeah I agree, I do not like he fact I have no control over my pictures. All my pictures probably amount to 1tb which in hard drive terms is relatively cheap considering the amount of effort put into it
edit: they've not mentioned there delete information the pictures but have given a date to back them up by, so I'd just take it that they will be deleted.

The net's gonna be a ghosttown pretty soon in terms of pictures. Over the years Imagebam hasn't been a very reliable host though, I'm surprised sites stuck with it (and insisted people use it) for so long. Remember the great purge of 2012? We lost a lot of great pics that time. Must be disheartening to some of you who post pics a lot... all that work and effort down the drain. :Sorryyyy:

It does suck but at least i'll try recover some images and re-upload on request. But i don't feel like uploading to another host when the same could happen to them eventually, there needs to be a better solution then this.

I have seen forum using their own host, and some 10years old pics still show up!
I have no idea how that works but it must cost lot of money sadly.

Was just about to upload on imgbox when i saw the announcement :(

Sad day once again, il try and help all i can. Maybe get the best sections (bikini ect) and then most popular celeb backed up first.

Yeah just seen this announcement on another forum, sad sad news.. basically the death of all the forums this, it's to time consuming for someone to go around backing up each set as well, no one can have that time on their hands. I don't know what we're going to all do? so many sets will be gone!

Doesn't mean the death of forums like these, its likely most ppl who track their favourite celebs have saved what they wanted already... and are just coming back for new stuff. Im reposting/uploading most threads ive made, that ild like to see saved - e.g Girls Aloud lol.

I honestly think i'm jinxed, i was away from this forum for a couple of months because of work and i became active in the last week and now this happens. When i first joined, someimage went down... :'( I'm sorry guys!

I have an almost full backup of the soap awards, but apart from that everything is on these hosting sites. I know zib has almsot all of his pictures backed up, but his upload speed is slow, and he doesn't have that much time to re-upload anything. What i'm hoping for is all my gallery links to be given to me by both hosts, so i can stick them in a program like jdownlaoder and start downloading them all. If they don't publish all links like someimage did, i jsut don't think i can be asked to go into each page (1026 pages of 14 galleries each, meaning i would have to manually copy and paste 14,364 links, i just can't do that. That's excluding 234 pages of galleries each containing 24 galleries, making that another 5,616 links needed. So a total of 19,980 galleries, i'd say on average there is about 12 pictures in each gallery, and each is on average 2MB, my maths makes that just short of 480GB. I could probably do that IF i can get all the links together..

What is this? How is so popular site going to shut down? They must mocket lot of ad revenue. This makes no sense

If it is possible to master the operation of some imagegrabber app all is not lost then

I think too many people were using it for free, and ad revenue couldnt' sustain that. They could have acted and changed their business model to maintain their business (if that is the case), instead of throwing in the towel.

darn that sucks! A lot of things to go back and do backup on my posts from over the years.

I wasn't around the scene in 2012, what happened in 2012? Last i remember was some image going in late 2016, which i had almost used exclusively until that point.

I remember imageshack and another host purge way back when, i had a music forum and it really stung us. Im guessing that was 2012..?
